Family Hospice provides care to over 200 patients each year. Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance help pay for only a portion of the costs to care for a patient. Additional funds are needed to help offset the high costs of medications, durable medical equipment and other necessary treatments for our patients. There are many ways you can help us continue to provide our services at no additional charge to patients. Memorials
Many families choose to designate a charity as the beneficiary of donations after the passing of a loved one. Some also may choose to omit flowers from a funeral and instead choose donations to their selected charity. We have special envelopes for memorial donations that are or can be made available at your chosen funeral home. Some funeral homes also have their own memorial envelopes that they make available for your use for the charity of your choice. We in turn send a card to the donor, as well as, a note of receipt to the family of the deceased. These donations help Family Hospice continue to provide our specialized hospice services.
Tributes
Many people enjoy sending cards to a friend or family member for a special occasion. For a birthday, anniversary, graduation, Christmas or Easter send your loved one a card from Family Hospice recognizing a gift made in their honor. We will send a card recognizing the special occasion and donation, then send you a note recognizing your donation.
